As both sud- and sur- are prefixes that mean South. |

It really depend on what language you want to say it.... If you go to Brazil is " Sulamerica" or "America do Sul" |

Here in Central America (right above South America), we say Sur América or América del Sur. But I have a cousin and a couple of friends in Perú & Chile and they say Sudamérica (not Sud America, not Suramérica). So both ways are ok. |
