Bogota is like the LOndon of SA
it freezing, always rains, it has sometimes cold seasons
or hail storms that are like snow

dianafern

cartagena on the other hand, is REALLY tropical.

Bogota is at altitude and has typical mountain weather - unpredictable. However, I've always found the climate to be comfortable. Most locals wear or carry a sweater, especially at night, and rain can come up fast. Snow is very rare.

i am from bogota , lived there for 30 years so let me explain it better
A) it never snows it has never happen and it never will
B) it has a flat temperature is always bewteen 48 and 70 all year long no colder than that no warmer than that
C) it only rains in 2 months out of the year april and novenber (during this months usually it will rain at least once a week ) i lived in london for a year and the weather is not like bogota at all
D)hail storms maybe five in a year bogota is like spring weather all year round
E) august you will have lots of wind
now if you drive up the mountains for about an 2 hours you will get to colder temeratures close to 35-45 if you drive down the mountains in about 45 minutes you will reach 70-80 make ad hour and a half and you can be in the 90 temperatures is based on alttitude not seasons
if you have any more questions please ask

Cleora

No, not at all. It's high in the mountains, so it's cold and it rains a lot.
