Is it true that almost everyone in Colombia and Venezuela has a gun? Is it true or is just a rumor? |
In Europe, people say that in Colombia y Venezuela there are so many urban violence,even worse than Harlem and Chicago, and there are gangs with guys who all have guns and who attack people in the streets to rob their money !
And if we refuse to give our wallet,then they kill us with a bullet in the head !!
Some people told me that even teens had guns (under legal age), and they even shot someone just because we walk in "their" streets ! And they even killed some tourists !
Is that true ? Or is that just a rumor exagerated by the european medias?
I want to viisit these countries, but I am scared !

In Colombia TOTAL Fiction. 1- Legal Guns are EXPENSIVE about 5X the price of the same weapon in the US. 2 - It is Illegal to own one unless you have prior military service and a few other special circumstances.
You can get illegal guns in Colombia.. M16s go cheap. But if you get caught with it the prison time is very, very long. It also alleged that the Mafia rents guns for hits. |

ok let me tell you that is NOT true , I am from Colombia, its a beautiful country, but people disgrace it by saying everyone has guns and do drugs, the truth is people think that because they watch stupid movies that make my country look like an ***. I'm just going to say Colombia and other South American countries are safe to go on a vacation and other recreational activities
PS don't believe all your friends say about Colombia because
its just lies and don't be scare either it's a safe place

It is just an exagerated rumor, I don´t remember a lot about Colombia but I lived 5 years in there and you can walk safely in Bogota´s streets. Currently I live in Venezuela but I´m moving because we are not in good situation here, in this case there are some parts of Caracas (the capital) in which this rumor gets to be real, but I don´t think any tourist has been killed as these part of Caracas I am telling you about aren´t touristic, just dirty barrios. |
