You can try JAL (Japan Airlines) going from manila to tokyo then through Vancouver, Canada and non-stop to Mexico city then Costa Rica. Another option is flying Malasian Airlines from Manila to Kuala Lumpur, then to Johannesburg, South Africa, then to Buenos Aires and then fly to Costa Rica. Good luck!

yeah I found this flight, originates in Mexico City, changeover in Panama and then goes to San Jose.......doesn't pass through the US at all.

COPA Panama
Flight 211
Departs: 2:08p Juarez International (MEX)
Arrives: 6:43p Tocumen Intl (PTY)
COPA Panama
Flight 795
Departs: 7:38p Tocumen Intl (PTY)
Arrives: 7:49p Juan Santamaria Intl (SJO)

Although, I assume you mean coming from England or Europe somewhere so why not try the Iberia (Iberia.com) service via Madrid...like:

Iberia
Flight 3161
Departs: 7:25a Heathrow (LHR)
Arrives: 10:45a Barajas (MAD)

Flight 6301
Departs: 12:05p Barajas (MAD)
Arrives: 4:15p Juan Santamaria Intl (SJO)

Because you are from the Phillipines, your best bets are probably travel through Canada and Havana (which of course don't stop in the US). Just don't look on US based travel sites (e.g. orbitz, travelocity, expedia). Mexico City is also an option.

There are many, but you have to tell us where you're coming from!

Edit:

If you take a flight on an European airline, you may stop in Venezuela, for example, instead of the U.S.
