Colombia consists of 32 departments or states. You will find that each dept has its own flavor. You will find that Colombians are very hard working. Decent work is hard to come by and most work 10 or more hours a day. They are friendly, like to party and are very hospitable. I find it to be an incredible country- Go there. You will not be dissapointed.

If you have to choose, go to the coast. Cartagena for example. NO one parties as hard as the costenos. The night life is great.. Lots of dancing and drinking. (Which is true in any part of Colombia) The people are friendly and funny.
