Hi,
Costa Rica is a beautiful country and has many language schools in the capital city of San Jose as well as areas at the beaches like Manuel Antonio and Tamarindo. I have heard, however, from students here in Costa Rica, Guatemala has great schools that are very affordable. I would check both countries out. OR, take a month course at one and travel to the other for a second month! That can't be beat! Good luck!

Argentina, Chile or Uruguay are very beautiful, safely and nice people. There you can find institutes to help you.

Try Costa Rica. Its not too far, so the airfare isn't as expensive as Argentina or Uruguay or somewhere else like that. Also, there are lots of schools there catering to people wanting to learn spanish. And, there are lots of wonderful things to do and see. Its also a very safe country with a stable democracy.

Argentina, Chile and Uruguay are very nice but air fares to those countries from the US is quite high. For a much lower cost try Mexico, especially smaller cities and towns. You could kill two birds with one stone and go to places like Mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast. They both existed before the tourist trade and are living thriving places with the infrastucture to have language schools and boarding houses for students. On the gulf coast there is Veracruz or Villahermosa again very nice cities.
Unless you don't mind crowds, I'd avoid Mexico City. You could also try Guadalajara, Leon, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende and Cuernavaca as nice places with perhaps cooler climate that those on the coast but there's no beach.

If u wanna try something really different ...You can go to Bolivia.. Has a wonderful places and the life cost is low.. you can visit "Salar de Uyuni" and Titicaca lake... the Spanish is more clear than other countries I mean no more Anglicism and good pronunciation. (June is winter but generally in the plateau there is no snow)
