At certain level, every Latin American speaks the same language, Maybe the exceptions would be Argentinians & Uruguayans who's grammar rules to use the verbs differently.

The main difference between one country and another is the accent and the slang they use for street talking. Also you will find differences when they use the indigenous names instead of spanish names specially in Mexico and close neighbors, but 90% of the time it involves vegetables or food.

Having stated that I proceed with my translation:

1.- "Encontrarme con mi padre por primera vez"

2.- "Viajar para verlo"

3.- "Encontré su camión"

4.- "Mi padre y madre hace 25 años"

5.- "El primer abrazo"

6.- "Vernos el uno al otro"

7.- "Continuará"

It's possible that in the certain area he lives in, speaks a dialect but as far as Spanish goes, Colombians, as well as Argentina, Peru, Chile, etc etc speak Castillian or known as castillano.

Memorex did a good job at translating.

also, i know you said he's your dad but i think you should use the UD (usted) form first before delving into tu.

lastly, for looking at each other you can also use "nos estamos mirando"

if you have a paragraph planned out, you should come back and let people correct it or translate it =)
it's weird but when it comes to phrases like that i can't translate it properly but if you can give me a sentence to work with I can do it. Sometimes there are diff ways of translating something so you need the gist, sometimes.

good luck!

I'm not Colombian but just in case no one answers I will post the question in spanish that you posted. Again just in case no one from Colombia answers:

"meeting my father father for the first time" - Conocer a mi padre/papa (papa is more friendly and familiar "daddy")

"Traveling to see him" - Viajar a conocerte

"Found His Truck" - Encontre to camioneta o pick up

"My mother And Dad 25 Years ago" - My madre y mi padre hace 25 años.

"The First Hug" - El primer abrazo

"looking at eachother" - Ver el uno al otro

"To Be Continue" - Continuara
