I'm very ashamed to say this, but one thing that always annoys newcomers, is that we are rarely on time. And when I say rarely I mean never. Only the movies, the mass and the baseball games start on time.
So, my advice to you is be patient.
Other than that is a great place to live! It is a small price to pay!

You may want to open a bank account when you are living there. Bring a lot of info with you from your bank at home. It will make it a lot easier to get going once there. Talk to your bank at home before you leave.
