It depends on the kind of people you will have in the party, and the kind of party that you will have. We have local music that some people like, like "Los Hermanos Flores", "La Chanchona de Arcadio", etc. But you could prefer pop music, or another kind of music. If you want people to dance, you could choose a special kind of music, or if it is for a weeding, a different kind of songs. It depends. But if they are 40-65, music from the 90s could be good, or even from the 80s, so that they feel identified with the songs.

I agree with Mr. Montoya, not everybody likes cumbia or Hermanos Flores. I'm Salvadoran in my 40's and can't stand cumbia, I'd prefer music from the 80's.

Es_Bella
Cumbia.
- Orquesta Los Hnos. Flores [de El Salvador]
- Orquesta Sangre Morena
- Orquesta San Vicenta

Check out their music on myspace.com
Those songs are some of the best.
Make sure to get "La Bala" by Orq. Los Hnos. Flores, that's a legendary song.

Good luck. =)
