What you need to do Is tell her you'll keep in touch with her and that once you are out here you'll call her up promise them that youll be safe and keep out of trouble. Well pretty much man hope you come out here don't forget to bring your sweater LOL jp its hot as hell out here I heard its really nice during december I'll b leaving this September well ok take care. To your dismay, your parents are absolutely right in not letting you go to El Salvador. At 17, they're still responsible for your well-being. You only have one more year until you turn 18, so just wait until then.

To show them how responsible you are, start off w/small tasks. Get a part-time job and keep good grades at school. This will show them that you can handle working and maintaining good grades. Another thing is being a babysitter. Take care of someone younger than you, and showing how good you are at will show them that you're willing to take a leadership role.

i was just there in april. we stayed a the royal decameron salanitas all inclusive resort. maybe if you stayed there in a package deal they would feel better. its got tons of security and everything you need is provided for you. i can see where they are coming from. its not the safest place and they are worried. heck im 25 and married and my mother freaked when i told her i was going here. but after research and the seeing the resort she got over it ;)

My aunt has a house in Soyapango i stayed there with a bunch of family for a month and i had no problems there when i was there. The T.V make it out to be worse than it is, ya there is a lot of gang members there but if you dont start anything with them they wont do nothing. Going back in December after exams and just wanted to let you know that if you speak spanish speak it and not english because then the will know you are a tourist especially downtown. If you do go have a nice trip.

My ♥ Is In The City By The Bay!
If your parents told NO already, we cannot change their opinion. I'm so sorry! Just wait until you're 18 and you won't need their permission.

Also, listen to them because El Salvador is not so safe to two tourist guys. I know you will be with relatives but always need to take precautions.
