They ask the routine questions, about your works, if you are married, how many children do you have -or not-, if your salary is enough to mantain a kid and yourselves, where do you live, why do you want to adopt, ages of the babies you want to see and gender...

Consult a good lawyer, and if you are going to adopt into an agency, make sure is legal. Too many children are kinnaped...

My best regards!

Hyro
make sure that the guatemalan baby you adopt is being given up by a parent. some of those kids being adopted are actually kidnapped.

As of this year, the new President of Guatemala has changed the adoption laws. The process is longer and harder. Good Luck.

We had worked through an agency that had us well prepared. During the embassy visit, there were two interviews and neither was over 5 minutes long. The questions asked were routine and the information was available in our paperwork. The biggest issue with the embassy visit is that you will be there for 2-3 hours. It can get crowded and there are no provisions for the children. The room in the back tends to be less crowded.
