NIGHTLIFE IN LIMA, PERU? |
I'm going to Lima, Peru, for a couple weeks in April. I was wondering if anybody could help me out by providing the names of a few discos that are worth while. I typically enjoy house/techno music. Some descriptions would be helpful too. Is Lima nightlife good? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!! |

nightlife is great, but I don't know any discos, there are so many, just go to miraflores or san isidro districts |

Im pretty sure about what im about to say, because i live in Lima. The best clubs in Lima are located at Larcomar, a very nice place. The names are "Aura" and "Gotica", you´ll have fun there.
You can also go to the bohemian district, Barranco. |

Go to Miraflores, San Isidro and Barranco suburbs (districts). I was there some months ago (actually i am peruvian) and i think Aura and Gotica (both in LarcoMar - Miraflores) are good for some house/techno music as well as some places in Barranco. Also try some peruvian music: Pena del Carajo (Barranco).
Also you HAVE to go to Av. de La Marina discos, BUT go in group (or with someone who knows the place) and dont do drugs... not too safe. |

Cannot give you the names but in Lima there are many clubs on the Avenida Marina which is kind of close to the airport. Be careful as many parts of Lima are very dangerous after dark, try to go with a group to be safer and do not have anything to do with drugs unless you want an extended vacation in a Peruvian prision. Good luck. |
