Have you tried Craigslist? You can post your ad all over the world. You can also try the social networking sites such as Hi5, Facebook, MySpace, and you could even post a video on youtube. There are many free ways that you can advertise on the Internet.

IN the diario extra news paper and La Teja, they are highly read. Also La Nacion and even Tico Times. La Teja and Diario Extra might be the cheapest.

Be sure you are listed on the Hostel websites. I always look for Hostels on the internet before I go to CR.

Free websites Craigâ€™s Lists, Back page, My Space, and Facebook are your best bets where you can join groups and add friends. However be careful on how you make the ads, Girls Stay Free, can sound like, â€œsolicitationâ€ and you will get flagged, if not your IP address banned.

One of my friends is a programmer at Craig's Lists and they do keyword searches all the time for deception ads. Just clarified the ad, during certain months, we have special deals, â€œwhere all ladies,â€ can stay for free, so bring your girlfriends guys, etc etc.

Adding your hostel websites usually can cost you several hundred a year and I donâ€™t think you want to go that route.

If you donâ€™t have one, get yourself a 4-6 page website (you can get one made for around $150 if not way cheaper) and you can submitted it for free to 1000s of free directories, like what www.ticotimes.com is. It does take time (but the reward can be overwhelming) and get a good Search Engine Optimizer, who will target your keywords for your Hostel/Hotel in the area where it is at and you will get good position at search engines. So when someone types in, "Free hostel stays in Costa Rica" at Google, your website is on the 1st page.

Add a good 2-3 minute video on youtube, metacafe.com, yahoo video, and aol video with a good description, keyword intense title and tags, and you might be real surprise of the exposure you will get and it is all for free, it just takes time.
