If you are on a budget there are some good bars on via porras street ,local beer are 1.50 coronas 2.50 and always no cover .There is a american ran bar and grill called red devil it has pretty good food ,and low prices ,on weekends it is pretty full ,and most of the staff speaks english.It`s a good place to bring your camera because it has a cool design ,they made the bar out of a bus . Always lots of friendly people there. If you have never been to panama you have to go to the locks ,also you have to go to the causeway. if you are here on a sunday you can go to the causeway sit and have a drink everyone walks on sundays at the causeway ,you meet lots of people. |

Hello. I´m guessing you will be in Panama city. If that´s the case, I recommend that you visit the Panama Canal, Miraflores Locks, they have a visitors center, opened untill 5pm, entrance fee $8. That´s a must. Taxi fare unknown. (could be around $20 to get there)
Then, if you would like a nice view of the city, go to the Amador Causeway, in the second and third island there are good restaurants and bars for a relaxed drink next to the sea. You could see the sunset there. 1 beer $2.75, dinner $15, taxi from Miraflores around $20.
And at night, go to the calle Uruguay were the best nightlife of panama city hapens, lots of bars crouded with young - middle aged tourists and panamanians. 1 rhum and coke $4.50. Taxi from Amador, around $15.
I think I covered your butget, but if you follow my instructions, you will have a priceless evening.
