There are several places that local people are going to recommend you. I'm going to tell you my favorites:
1. Walking around Barrio Bella Vista
2. Neruda's house La Chascona (if you can go out the city go to his house at the beach ISLA NEGRA)
3. Going up the Cerro San Cristobal
4. Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (walking the Parque Forestal too)
5. You MUST eat fish/seafood (if is the season try LOCOS)
6. Go to a vineyard! Concha y Toro is a great choice
