ULACIT has a great international business administration program, and it is taught in English. I am not sure about their other programs. For other information about Costa Rica, try the TicosLand.com website. |

Yes, PLEASE don't listen to Crisis... I'm from San Diego, CA, and I've been living in Costa Rica for 8 years... I've never been attacked by giant bugs or poisonous snakes!
ULACIT is bilingual, Universidad Nacional in Heredia has something like a foreign exchange program that brings americans, and Universidad Interamericana has a few options as well. It all really depends on what you're interested on studying.
But learning spanish while you're here would be the best, not only for school but then you'll see what the country is really like, not just the Gringo or American point of view, which miss out on a lot because they stick in groups with americans instead of immersing themselves in the culture. |

I went to the University of Costa Rica in San Jose for a year. It was a great school. (I went through the University of Kansas) |

I'm sure there is - but if you're willing to move to Costa Rica to go to college, don't you think you should learn Spanish while you're there? It would be a terrible waste to attend even one term of college in Latin America without trying to learn the language. In an immersion situation like that it will come easier than you could ever imagine. |

Oh my gosh please don't listen to crisis, he/she is completely exaggerating..I live in Costa Rica and I will never ever leave. I live in the city and trust me, I don't see that stuff. I can be in my house or go to the mall or the movies or bowling without seeing a single spider.Don't worry.
and it's actually the opposite, during colonial times, Costa Rica was very poor because of the lack of indigenous people to work for the Spaniards, because all the Indians either died off of the diseases brought by the Europeans or the Europeans mistreating them ...but now Costa Rica is one of the most developed countries in Latin America. |

I was laughing out loud to the "Crisis" answer!
What was written is not too far from what some people believe ... even educated and otherwise reasonable people like my own parents.
I hope you make it down to Costa Rica - you will not be sorry :o)
P.S.: Costa Rica isn't an island either. |

not that i know of
but you don't want to stay there for a while any way..it's a great place to visit but not live. I'm costa rican and have relatives there
do you know they have bugs the size of your head at all times all over the place.
poisonous insets and reptiles all over!
Beautiful place but it really has its downsides
the land itself took so long to get established and cultivated because the Europeans kept either getting killed by the Indians that lived there or plagued by all the bugs. |
