Guanaca of course!

According to Roberto Wilfredo Pérez, a Nahuat scholar and writer from El Salvador, the term guanaco is often confused as being a Nahuat/native word describing someone from El Salvador.

In fact, he states that the term guanaco comes from the South American llama of the same name. It is actually a nickname given to Salvadorans due to the sound of their dialect. The term has been used for a long time, and has been ingrained in the lexicon of the country.

Actually the majority of the people here find it offensive to be called a guanaco or guanaca and you will rarely find someone refer to themselves or others with that name. They say it is offensive to them because a Guanaco is an animal that they find to be disgusting.

If you are a LITTLE GIRL, than they'll call you "GUANAQUITA"

Notice the "q" and not the "c"?

But if you are just a girl (15+) than they'll call you "GUANAKA"

lol

But there are more slangs from El Salvador for girls:

Bicha, Cipota, Cuscatleca, Guanaca,....... and many many others....!!
