They are called the Antilles, which are consequently divided among the Greater Antilles (the bigger islands at the north of the Caribbean such as Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc) and the Lesser Antilles (the smaller islands at the east of the Caribbean such as Trinidad, Barbados, Martinique, etc).
