The panama canal (10 points to best answer!!!!!)?

For social studies homework i need to write about some struggles faced by the people working on building the panama canal. For part of it i need to do research on the computer, so if someone could please give me a link to a website that i could find the information it would be great!! thanks!!!!

You can always research but I cna briefly tell you The following:

The Canal was first and partially built by the french. They have to stop the construction because many of the workers started to die from Malaria. It became a problem so they stopped the construction. After a few years the United States continued with the construction. One of the most challenging parts was the Gillard Cut. It was hard rock and they had to use a lot do dynamite to destroy the rock. Overall the major problem and struggle was the Malaria.
