Don't bring nothing fancy or you'll attract to much attention and be sorry in the end, no jewelery at all!!!!, is too danger for that, the women here were cheap plastic or wood earrings, and necklaces also.

Outlets are the same cloths with a "sexy tropical twist", for example, the jeans are ultra low rise, stretch and very tight. A lot of boots, high heels, etc, is more sexy, in the states everything is about comfort, not here girl!!

Don't leave your bags alone, not even for one second, from the moment you go out of the airplane until you are sitting again to go home. The chanel bag is not a good idea.

Also, don't show you laptop in public, or leave it in the car, or your camera or expensive sunglasses.

Leave the bag at home. Dress attire is VERY casual. I brought some nice clothes and didnt wear them, it was a mistake. tanks, shorts, hat, bikini, sandals, hiking shoes if you are going hiking or tennis shoes, good bug spray, sunblock. check the weather where you are going and see if it gets cold, it did get cold enough for a light jacket in some places I went to. Outlets were fine out there where I stayed.

You'll be fine! Wear clothes prepared for warm weather but bring some clothes in case there's a chilly day.It tends to get chilly at night so make sure you have a sweatshirt.I don't know what you mean by outlets so I cant really help you with that sorry? And about the spanish speaking...i didn't know how to speak Spanish when I came and I was fine but at least you have your Dad! You'll be fine! Don't worry! It be really fun! I had a great time!

You need to bring lots of bug spray! Swim wear is fine. try bringing lots of water. Depending on what you are doing bring long pants and sweatshirts for cold nights. In the day bring short sleeve shirts and short pants.Sunglasses really help too. O and bring different types of shoes for hiking and stuff.

Bring your most comfortable breathable clothes. It may get a little colder at night but they also have nights that are extremely humid and you will still want to cover up from bugs depending where you are. At most you will need a very light weight long sleeve and pants. You can wear a bikini however you may see more people wearing a t-shirt and shorts into the water. I doubt you will have any theft problem unless you leave your shoes outside over night or anything unattended while swimming. If you need bug repellent (outside the city) buy it in Costa Rica. Their outlets are the same as the united states.
