the answer above is not correct. Costa Rica is a very developed country compared to other countries in the region. Literacy rate in our country is 96%, one of the highest of Latin America.
The normal working schedule is from 8 am to 5 pm. People go to work by car or bus, the majority in the capital city, San José.
The common daily lunch for costa ricans is a "casado", a mixed plate of rice, beans, meat, salad and plantains.
Children go to public or private schools.
You can find many english speaking people.
And our daily life is pretty much the same as in any other country, such as yours.

soleluna's answer is very correct.
something to add:
most ticos (thats what costa rican people are called) love futbol (soccer in english).
you might want to add that.
Also, you might think that everyone goes to the beach all the time. but this is not really true, you see, most of the country's population live in the central valley. This is in the center of the country and is surrounded by mountains. But the beaches are close, and people go often.
Also, you can say that most people there are Catholic.
any more questions, feel free to ask!

Well everyone has a different lñifestyle but generally speaking, people wake up take a shower, have coffee, sometimes cheese and tortillas and a gallo pinto, specially if they ive out in the country, then go to work to the office, school, business or where ever they are working.
get of work after 8 hours, then go to the suermarket or do errands before arriving home, dinner late at night about 8 or 9 pm. then watch tv and to bed.
Sometimes after work people go out to eat or have a few beers.
On weekends people sometimes go out for a drive with the family or watch the soccer game or stay at home and fix up the house, car and garden.

something else really cool about costa rica

its called "gallo pinto" its really unique and its kind of like rice and black beans but theres more to that.

they eat it with almost every meal
and its delicious!

I can tell you they work very hard for not too much money. In Canada and I presume the US many people work 9 to 5 jobs but in costa rica its more like 7am to 6pm. I know this isnt much but it just gives you an idea of how hard they work.
