Look a website where you can look for yourself on the Panama Canal webcams.

There are cams at three places......the Miraflores Locks.....the Gatun Locks and the Centennial Bridge.

Here's the URL:

Currently in Panama we are in the middle of the season change which is coming a little early this year. The usually don't start into summer until toward the end of December, but this year it begin more toward the end of November. With the season changes it can be a bit uncomfortable. As the season changes the winds have a tendency to die down. But once summer arrives the winds will pick up, the rains will stop and we will have about four months of delightful weather.

Basically we have two seasons. Winter is humid, rainy, and green. Summer is dry, windy, and grass is as brown as August in Arkansas. For more information see http://www.panamaexpertos.com/

I'm just a little surprised to see the other answers. . . .about the rainy conditions . I was stationed there for 2 years and I'm pretty sure that December is the beginning of the 'dry season' . And maybe the 'rainy season' hasn't quite come to an end yet !!

I believe that Panama is in a state of 'red alert' due to the flooding

The rainy season is over. I would say it reaches a beautiful 88+ degrees daily. I wish I was there right now instead of freezing my *** off in Southern New England.
