Emblematic is such character, a stereotype that women cause for some attraction for some men… envy, and for others like him… pride.
The word comes from BRICHER "bridge" (bridgechero), DICES that descended from Indians who were catapult toward distant lands hunting foreign tourists with their gadgets loving.
He, sweetens the hearts of tourists arguing that it is a legitimate descendant of Incas, blood millennial, whose ability to appreciate the signs of nature have fallen on his person so avasallante.
Promises to open his third eye, traveling in ayahuasca and attend a birth of the sun in the ruins is an experience so attractive that becomes irrechazable.
So as this son of the sun and the moon to wonder impacted its audience.
She is usually a traveler from very distant lands, so distant that barely the sun's rays have made their browning almost albino eyelashes. The Perfecionamiento and molds are handled as structures, relationships and the western way of life have brought him to this mystical place. Its environment does not have the possibility of similar promises of freedom and he represents the gateway to knowledge and a new world.
Couples like this often come together and walk through the streets of Cuzco daily in large quantities. The outcomes are varied but always the same: It goes with it to their country. She stays with him in Cusco. She returns with tears in his country and continues to do the same thing countless times. Or e marry and live happily ever after.
Of course, there are also BRICHER. There are for all.
Cusco is the place where anything can happen. Magical, mystical, varied and many people with the expectation that something will happen in their lives to change them. Whatever… |

A brichero is a guy from places like Cuzco (touristy places in the highlands) who makes a living out of attracting female tourists. They show them the city, the nice places to eat, dance, etc and they are the peruvian version of a gigolo. Bricheros are hunting for american tourists (or european) for having a fun time (you know what I mean) and at the end finish with some cash or even a ticket to go and vsit the woman in her hometown! There is a female version called bricheras who are hunting for gringos in Cuzco and try and take all they can from them in exchange for a nice city tour, etc, etc. How can you tell? well, just look at them hunting for gringos or gringas!!!! |
