Love it! it's amazing, a lot of friends live there, great surf, friendly people, stable economic, no wars(first country in the world to abolish its army), nice weather, less expensive than the U.S., they are friends of the environment, it's great!!!
but as every country you will find some not safety places where you can get robbed and if you want to work there you need to speak a second language because there most of the people speaks Spanish and English, and you better have higher education because everybody does that's why it's difficult for teens to find a job...
I love Costa Rica in every sense, the ticos are so relax, smart, funny, friendly(don't be surprised if somebody you don't know says hi to you or smile to you) no wonder why Costa Rica is the best place to live in latinoamerica and many other countries.
Pura vida is their motto... |

My mother is retired there for about 16 years now and I have visited the country many times to retire there myself in 2012.
Generally friendly and less expensive than the U.S. Crime is not bad (Although San Jose has some bad spots) with petty theft or robbery being the worst you will run into if not understanding local customs. Costa Rica is a very free and open country, rivaling or surpassing the U.S. at times. Ticos/Ticas are the locals and they love to party, are family oriented, and very welcoming. All in all, Pura Vida (Pure Life) is the national expression and Ticos love to share that way of life. One last thing, the bird life is incredible and diverse and flying down a zip line though the Rainforest canopy is a blast! |

It's great. Nice weather the whole year, around 75-85 degrees. Beautiful beaches, mountains, lots of outdoors activitivies. Friendly people.
Of course, like every country there are economic problems and other kinds. But in general is a great place to live. |

I loved it.
It is a bit laid back by US and even European standards.
If you have meetings or something show up 1/2 an hour late and you will still be early.
The food is pretty rice and beans, but there are American options available if you want to pay for them (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Subway, etc.)
The weather is beautiful, but have an umbrella for the rainy season.
The people are people. Most of them are nice, but there are a few predators floating around. |

It has it's good things and bad. For example it is difficult in the sense that there is a lot of street violence, like getting robbed in the streets. And since a lot of people have higher education it's getting difficult to find a good job for young people. On the other hand the country is beautiful and people are nice. |
