Looking for a cheap ticket from Denver to Guatemala city in March '08.

Should I look online? Is there a good website?

or

Should I talk to a travel agent?

Thanks.

Many ways to fly cheep
try these sites (I've used them - got very good deals) if pressed for time try them than compare with what travel agent has to offer;
Bon voyage

imma have to go with hispanic hippie on this one.
american airlines is prolly your best bet. get a flight from denver to dallas/ft. worth and then a second flight from dallas/ft. worth to guatemala city. on one of my earlier trips to guatemala, i did that but i departed from orange county in southern california. not a really great airline in terms of in-flight customer service but might be your only option. TACA is a great airline that flies to guatemala but unfortunately, they do not offer service in denver. i always fly with them and they go above and beyond of what is expected from a flight attendant. United Airlines is one other airline thats really great, if you dont mind paying a lot more. in fact, they do offer service in denver and guatemala, though youll have to get a connecting flight from denver to los angeles and then on to guatemala.

now whether you wanna book online or from a travel agent is up to you. booking directly from the airline rather than from third-party sites (expedia, travelocity, ect.) will be a lot cheaper. these third-party sites do charge an agent fee that can range anywhere from US$10-US$50. they really dont tell you this till you finalize your transaction. im pretty sure travel agents do the very same thing, since thats how they earn their profit. it also depends on the time of the year of when you plan to travel. i will be going to guatemala in january. ticket prices are very low at this time, especially a week or two after the holidays. march and april tend to be very busy times when flying to latin american countries do to the spring celebrations such as easter. if your dates are flexible, please reconsider.

i hope this has been of help. bon voyagÈ and enjoy guatemala.

what about TACA, it's kinda cheap, I got a ticket from Guatemala to Miami for $251 then I took a bus to ATL, its not the best way to travel by bus, but its cheaper.
