Uruguay is definitely number one in terms of friendliness. I love the people that I met there! I recommend going to smaller towns instead of just Montevideo and Punta del Este, though.

Argentina is probably the second on my list, but despite what other people have said, I think that people in Buenos Aires were totally friendly! It's a great city and it doesn't hurt that the people are beautiful!

I haven't been to Brazil, but I met a bunch of Brazilians while traveling who were totally friendly and outgoing and I hear that Brazil is a great place to travel!

Honestly, I've never had any problems with unfriendliness while traveling in South America. It really depends on your own attitude and how you interact with the people you meet. Stay open minded and polite and you'll probably get the same back. Have a great time!

All countries are friendly in South America.
But the most, I think it is Uruguay. Also Brazil
It depends on what things you like to do.
If you decide to go to Argentine for example.... dont go to Buenos Aires...pple there is not friendly. But if you go to the provinces, they are really friendly pple. Mendoza is a great place with nice pple.
In Uruguay pple is like that too, and they like foreigners. Uruguay has thermal baths.......and the pearl of the Atlantic : Punta del Este. That is the most luxurious, exclusive and international place in South America.
Brazil has beaches all the year round, if you like that.....then go there.
But if you like History and archeological places...then Peru without doubts.
As you see......you have several choices.

Enjoy them..

The best place by far is Ecuador.

You should definitely go to Buenos Aires, there are great places to go and the city is prepared to receive tourists from all over the world.

If you are looking for accommodation and information on Buenos Aires, check this Website, it is very useful
