The vocabulary of each country is a little different. Since most Spanish-speakers in the US are either from Mexico or Central America, schools in any of those countries would be ideal.

Note: Panama would be a good one. Interesting terrain. Also, many Panamanians have a good working knowledge of English, so you would need to be careful that you don't hooked into speaking English. Your job is practice Spanish.

backslid- The national language of Puerto Rico is spanish and english is second.

the most neutral spanish is generally thought to be from Lima/ Peru, Colombia also is good. I dont recomend Argentina because they use el vos, sos, vosotros (Although some regions of Colombia and other countries also use them) because if you dont know spanish you'll get confused.

not mexico. they speak mostly slang. costa rica is a beautiful country and they speak proper spanish. don't do honduras, there is too much going on down there. armed militia walking in the middle of the streets. it's a bad scene.

Peru form what's I've seen on tv is beautiful. The easiest would be Puerto Rico-their national language is English and they accept dollars. Spanish is still widely spoken and Boricas and extremely friendly and open.

spain. im a latino and my parents are from el salvador and guatemala. and what ive been taught is that we have the ghetto spanish you would say. in spain thats were spanish was invented. in our language we say nosotros. which means us. but many say thats incorrect. cause in spain vosotros is the better way. so i would recommend spain.
