Ciudad Colon is close to Santa Ana and Escazu, and there are many great restaurants and night spots in those places. Limon is about 209 kilometers from San Jose which is about 131 miles. That would be about 2 hours driving time if you were in the US. Since we are talking about Costa Rica, then you can add two more hours to your travel time, more or less....more if you are traveling by bus, and much more if there happens to be a road collapse or mudslide along the way. If there is and they shut down the highway, then you have to take the old road through Turrialba. Then you are talking about an extra 90 minutes or so.
