It rather depends on which part of Ecuador that you might have in mind. Much of the country is in the Andes. The village of Papallacta can become very cool both night and day. Maybe in the high 50s F during the day. I am not positive but it might be the highest village in Ecuador on a main road. On the other hand the town of Coca on the Napo river in the Amazon basin is unsufferably hot day and night. 90s during the day with near 100% humidity. Quito has a very mild climate but can get cool at night. Maybe in the mid 70s F during the day. Considering it is only about 30 miles south ot the equator, it just goes to show you that being on the equator does not necessarily mean hot termperatures. Quayaquil in the southern part of the country and I believe second in population to Quito and just up river from the Pacific Ocean has a warmer climate but not unpleasantly hot. Maybe in the mid 80's F. Loja is in the mountains in the south of the country and has a climate similar to Quito.

In Ecuador there are three zones: Coast, Sierra (Mountains) and Amazon. The coast is mostly warm and you have dry time (without rain) and wet time. The average Temperatur is 25 Centigrad.
In the Sierra depends also how high you are. For example Quito is located 2.800 meters over seelevel. The weather change drastically in one day, the morning very sunny and the afternoon windy and fresch.
The amazon is mostly warm and wet. The temperatur 30 Centigrad.
So in all Ecuador you dont have 4 season like USA, only 2 the raining time and the dry time.

If you go to Quito, Cuenca or Ambato, it is like an eternal Spring.

If you go to Guayaquil or Manta, it is like an eternal Summer.
