I would say a mate which is the container where they drink their mate or tea. They came in different sizes and materials and you can put in on a table, shelf, etc. If you are into leather goods, you'll find fabulous things there like purses, shoes, clothes. You can find nice handicrafts shops in Boca neighbourhood, just in front of Caminito. Also in Tigre, in the market. |

You must buy an empy "mate".buy a green herb named "yerba" and prepare the most tippical drink whit sugar and hot water.
You must eat "dulce de leche" and "asado".Listen to Rata Blanca!.
Or maybe you must buy a "poncho".
I don't know,but welcome to my country! |

Leather goods of course whether it is clothing or accessories the quality & prices are great. of course the Wines, be sure to bring several bottles or a case, can be ordered & sent, great memories with each sip, your friends will pay more attention to your Argentine adventures sipping the great wine. Music, cds, the tango.classic argentian guitar,& folk music from the Andes so hauntingly beautiful & hard to find in the U.S.. Art & handicrafts from the artisians to grace your home & the best souvenirs of all the friendships that you make while there. |

I would definitely say a mate taza the cup they drink the mate out of. A very strong tea drink that you will see almost all people in Argentina drinking throughout the day. Also something related to Tango which is directly associated with Argentina, especially Buenos Aires, would be good too. |
