What are the odds of making it to Witch's Rock Costa Rica in a Toyta 4WD Hard top during the rainy season?
July 15 to July 24
4 WD Toyota Hard Top Land Cruiser--a beast, did the drive from Tamarindo to Mal Pais in one during the rainy season last year. Big river crossings. Additional Details Please folks, someone with first hand experience who actually has done this. I've been to WR many times, just never driven it in the Rainly season
You probably mean making it to Playa Naranjo inside Santa Rosa National Park. Getting there is the easy part, as the very rough road is mostly downhill. Making it out of there is another story in the wet season.
We have driven our 4x4 van there and back and I am sure that you can do it as long as you are a decent driver...heck, if it is a rental then no worries!
Good luck,
Carlos

I'd say they're pretty good. As long as you (or the person driving) are a good driver, you should have no problem. Carry an extra tire, a flashlight, and a raincoat just in case.

Is that a trick question? Witches Rock is an island! (see surf breaks article below) July is actually pretty dry, normally there is a "little summer" (veranillo). Public and private schools schedule the semester break at this time to take advantage.
