- Breakfast: Cachitos de Jamon y Queso or Arepas (It looks like a croissant with Ham & Cheese)
- Lunch: Criollo (Rice, Shredded Beef and Plantains)
- Dinner: Yuca/Arepas Platanos (Yuca Root, Plantains)
- Drinks: Maltas (It's a Malt you can compare it to A Root-Beer)
- Deserts: Quesillo (It's like a Flan only it's made with a bit of Rum)
There are also specual X-Mas Foods like; "Hallacas" - Hallacas are similar to a Mexican "Tamal" (if you know what that is) in shape and in the way it is cooked except: The Hallaca is wrapped in a plantain leaf, made with "Arina Pan" which is a different type of flour and the stuffing has many different ingredients.
We also have a drink that's like "EggNogg" but we call it "Ponche de Crema" made with rum, evaporated milk, condensed milk...yum, yum... GOOD!
Hope it helps! |

For breakfast and snacks: arepas and empanadas.
Here's a Holiday food: hallacas (December only).
There are cachapas... mmm.. these ones are hard to put under a category since you can eat them all year at any given time.
Use Google Image search for pictures of the food. |
