What can I give my host family in Peru?
I am going to study abroad, and want to take a gift to the family. What's unique to America that can't be found in Peru? I need two gift ideas.
The Hershey's kisses are great idea. A bag of small size 3 musketers or milky way would be ok too.
Also a Yankees cap.

With globalization these days they have almost anything we have, but from my expereince, the new gadgets and gizmos always take a while to arrive to southamerica, when we have them here already.
Something like a ipod shuffle, or a 20 Q. gadget. both are inexpensive and will be great gifts.
Don't forget to visit Machupichu (trough the Inca trails) you will love it.
Good luck
