What can you buy in Costa Rica with 1 US dollar, please help!!!?
At other restauarants you can buy a bottle of Imperial (beer).
You can buy anywhere from 1-4 bus tickets (depending on where in the country you are and how far you want to go.)
One dollar will more than pay for some snacks along the way (some chips/candy and a little drink).
Hmmm...if I think of more I'll come back and list them. :-)

Here are at least 10 things you can by for 1 USD in Costa Rica...
1. A plate of rice and beans
2. A Mango or two
3. A Beer
4. 20 Bananas
5. A taxi ride of about one mile (if they use their meter)
6. A phone call to anywhere in Costa Rica for at least 20 minutes calling from a public phone.
7. 5 pulls in a 100C slot machine.
8. A Coke
9. A piece of fried chicken
10. A bus ride from San Jose to San Pedro Mall where you can see all the things that 1 dollar cant buy. You have exactly enough left over to go back from San Pedro Mall to San Jose and have enough money to call your friend in San Jose to borrow money.

In some places you could buy a draft beer or a coke. From a street vender you could get a hot dog, or a cup of coffee and a pastry called a pastelito.

For the most part - things in Costa Rica cost about one third as the same items do here in the United States.
For example you can buy a bottle of Imperial Beer - which is the best Beer in Costa Rica for only a dollar at any bar in the country unless you are in a really Up Scale one run by greedy Americans!
Their coffee whic is the best in the world sells for $2.75 a pound in their local grocery stores and their Nicuaragian Black Label Rum sells for about $9.00 a bottle!
