What can you tell me about Costa Rica?

Anything will be helpful towards me. What is the percentage of americans that live there? Are the beaches dangerous? Remember: ANYTHING is helpful.

well that's kinda hard to answer cause... it would be like saying... are california beaches dangerous? you know too general... so yes and no... I mean... I've never get robbed at a beach but you know... in any country.. sh*t happens and yeah a friend of mine got robbed at a beach... just be careful and don't leave all ur stuff alone if ur going to swim.. is better if someone u trust stays watching ur things... and don't buy that sh*t of "oh no it's pretty safe here" lie! somehow everyone wants the foreigners to think costa rica is the paradise... I'm costa rican and I love my country and yes we have beautiful beaches, friendly people, cool places and stuff to do bla bla bla... but you know... this ain't no heaven sometimes... so yeah just be careful and u won't get robbed... just telling u the truth... don't use ur cellphone in public /open places, don't go around with ur expensive Camera/phone/laptop/etc... leave those at the hotel or just keep them in ur purse and don't take them out till u get somewhere safe.. not in the street

and americans mostly live in GUANACASTE.. if u go to beaches like tamarindo, flamingo, conchal... out of every 5 people.. 3 or 4 are americans.. NO KIDDING!

also in San Jose is full of americans... (that full it is that 2 of my best friends are americans)..

but yeah after the costa ricans and illegal nicaraguans/colombians immigrants... americans have one big population here

by the way... one dollar is 550 colones.... NOT 50.. duh!

there are many thing you can do/see here and to explore
come and see it for for yourself...
costa rica is an adventure... people come from different places of the world to enjoy the ecosystem. like birds, volcanoes, beaches, insects... and the best of all, to get away from it all

peachy girl
its beautiful! rain forests, waterfalls, hotsprings! Very safe...english is spoken...if you go make sure you rent a truck not a car

likeluis
americans will always be welcome in Costa Rica because they're polite and friendly, they always live in peace with us. and is true

Costa Rica is full of Americans! is a kind of weird but is true.

Girth McGarnagle
its the most beautiful country i have ever visited in terms of nature..

you have to see the arenal volcano

you have to go to tabaccon hot springs

dont go to jaco beach its dirty

limon has a lot of crime

there are alot of americans there aka ex-pats

you will feel safe there just dont be too touristy

50 colones is a dollar

kapn
Stay out of San Jose. Got robbed in my hotel parking lot the first hour I was there. Bandits everywhere..........they work in pairs called coyotes............

The rest of the country is spectacular..........

50 clones is not a dollar.......570 clones is a dollar.
