What clothing is INAPPROPRIATE to wear in San Jose?
I'm going to Costa Rica this Saturday and I'm staying with my family over there. I was packed two strapless shirts (tube tops) and my mom said that in San Jose girls don't really wear that cause it's inappropriate. Is that true? I bought those two shirts just for this trip! Is it ok to wear them in San Jose or only on the beach? Would people think I'm a **** if I wore them? Additional Details oh ok good because I bought all this cute clothes and my mom made it sound like all they wear is suits and ****.

It's not inappropriate.
Girls here in CR show lots of skin, including myself. I wear tube tops and spaghetti straps all the time, and it isn't uncommon to see a girls wearing miniskirts, and very provocative tops. It depends on what's inappropriate for you.
I lived in Florida for about 4 years, and people here dress the same way.
