I am looking at learning Spanish for when i go to the USA in March 2008.
Now i am going to California and i am wanting to learn Spanish.
Now i have a few questions.

it has awesome culture w. extremely nice people, and wonderful food & music...I can't stress that enough and then there's the scenery, with everything from tropical jungles to snowy mountains & beautiful valleys and cities.

Depends..South America is way too big and way too different from country to country. It all depends on where do you want to stay (which hotels) and what do you want to see? The cities, ruins, beaches, lagoons, volcanoes, jungle, deserts?? Can you speak spanish? can you speak english?
Reduce a little bit what you are looking for and then you get your options.

And about that guy saying Guyana is the only english speaking....actually From Panama til the South of Argentina in Patagonia....everyone knows english enough to guide you and help you wherever...of course if you go to poor places dont expect a good english, but there are tourist guides...

I would go to Colombia, since I am from Colombia! I love it there. I love the food, mountains, culture, music, traditions, historic places, people, and much more! I have so much family there that they are so nice to me. :)
