Hi Mike. I am venezuelan and I currently live in Venezuela, and yes, some boys here have earings, so it is not as unusual as people think, in Caracas many boys have them. It is ok if you want to wear them. Personally, I think it can be sexy, if you have the personality. The only people who will maybe say something about the earings are the old people, like grandmas or something... like in any other country; so dont worry!
