It's in south america, next to Argentina. They have a female president (the first). The capital is Santiago (not to be confused with Santiago de Cuba). Chile proboly will not vote for venezuela to enter the UN's security council. They have had student riots this year. They speak spanish. |

the country has a good economy and is very dry in the north most of the population lives in the central part of the country Santiago de Chile and Valparaiso it doesn't have good relations with Bolivia because of the old war of the pacific and also Argentina for other conflicts , but at the same time enjoys a well received conciliation in trade and relations with the northern neighbour of Peru, making actually a very important step in development and economic prosperity ,making this two countries the best performances of 2005 according to the world bank, mineral and fisheries are two of the most important resources of Chile another important city is Vina Del mar famous for it festival and many attractions.
Chile enjoys a very stable government and good relations with Europe and the united states of America. |

Everything Alej said and... it's a great country! I have friends from there and have other friends moving there. The government is getting much better than most in Latin America, the climate can vary depending on what part of the country you live in... north vs south, coastal vs. mountains, etc. My wife is from Latin America and Chile is definitely one of the countries we would love to live in! |

Chile at this time has the best economy in South America. In the North crossing the Peruvian border You enter Arica Chile The driest place in the world.(less than a half inch of rain in the last 100 years.
Because Chile is narrow and the elevation rises from sea level to almost 20,000 feet in a little over 100 miles from the coast. Along the pacific ocean is dessert from Arica to about La Serena.
Because of the largest copper mine in the world in Calama Chile you can see much more prosperity in the north. In the south is beautiful, tourism, logging and now Salmon farms.
The central valley area where the majority of the population is Santiago and Valparaiso. Valparaiso is a large seaport which the climate is like that of San Francisco. The central area much of the fruits in the USA come from there in the winter. Many vinyards |
