Our people is very welcoming with foreigner, don't forget to visit Baños de Agua Santa, near to Ambato, it's very exciting the rafting, to climb to the Tungurahua volcano, bungee jumping, etc

There is one of the worst environmental messes in the world. In the Amazon Chevron-Texaco left open crude oil pits and refuse to clean it up. All the indigenous people who live there have birth defects, cancer, deformations, dirty water. Oil is being stolen from the indigenous peoples land without their consent and the Oil Companies are harrassing the people. The military carries a lot of the control in the government and I believe there was a point where they had 6 presidents in like 5 years. |
