What do you need to be able to travel from El Salvador to L.A in plane?
I was told that one needs to have a "VISA" to be able to travel from El Salvador to the U.S but I don't how to obtain one(the "VISA" is for someone who lives in El Salvador), and what do I need.
You may or may not need a visa to enter the United States depending on your nationality (canadian and some european nationals may not require it), check with the nearest U. S. embasy. Most foreign nationals do require a Visa and need to get it at any U. S. Embasy or consulate before traveling since you will not be allowed to board the plane without it.

If the person is an El Salvador resident they need a tourist (B1-B2) Visa. That person needs to go to Banco Cuscatlan in Urbanizacion Santa Elena and pay $100 for the Visa Processing fee. Once they have paid this fee they must call a 900 number that will be given to them at the bank, the call costs aproximately $10. When he/she calls, they will get an appointment to request a Visa at the US Embassy. He/She will need to provide proof that he/she will sustain him/herself in US by his/her own means (this means Bank records) and that they have intentions on returning to El Salvador (birth certificates of children, house/mortage pares, etc). It is not easy, about 60% of people applying for a US tourist Visa are turned down, and the $100 are not refundable. Good Luck.

You need to obtain a visa issued by the American embassy in San Salvador. The easiest type of visa to get would be a "tourist" visa, usually good for 3 to 6 months.
Contact the embassy for specific required documentation.
