That's a pretty broad question... and everyone will have different opinions. Is there organized crime, poverty, oppression... yes, just like in so many other places in the world - this is not unique to El Salvador.
Does it have a good side? Of course, just like any other place does.
We just need to be objective and realistic. It's not the best place in the world, but it's not the worst either and one more thing I will say is this: In spite of all the bad things that have happened and are still happening, this is a country that is working towards improvement and is slowly progressing.
So we just need to open our minds and see beyond what the news may say and let's dig in a little deeper to find the good in it.
