what el salvadoreans do for x-mas is they open presents at exactly 12:00 eve! they blow up thousands of fire works to celebrate!!!

Christmas everywhere is pretty much the same the only thing that changes is the food they eat from place to place and also since it a ltain country most people celebrate it on the 24 of december instead of the 25th.

oni_koukogakusha
Yes we celebrate Dec. 24th usually with the extended family (great parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc.) Turkey is by far the most common dish but can change from pork, chicken or even ham and cheese. Of course I've known places where they eat traditional food such as tamales, beans, tortillas, chicken, etc. Many people go to church and kids (often adults too) play with fire crackers and lights. Presents are exchanged after midnight and after placing baby Jesus at "el nacimiento" (representation of the birth of Jesus with figures in clay, wood or other materials)
