Kids mostly play soccer. Informal, or 'pickup', soccer games are called 'mejenga' (pronounced me-HENG-ga).

Another sport they play is 'bate', which is a form of baseball played with your hand or a stick for a bat. The ball is most often a tennis ball and the bases are whatever the kids can find (e.g. a tree stump, a shoe, etc.)

As mentioned by other contributors, kids in Costa Rica play the same games as most kids around the world but one thing to observe from their answers is that kids tend to play OUTSIDE. Even though game systems are popular, they are not a common sight in homes. The weather is also very stable year round (except during the rainy season) so that also encourages children to spend their afternoons and evenings outside.

It depends. Children in Costa Rica play games similar to children all over the world. These include, soccer, baseball, basketball, etc.

The typical meal in Costa Rica is beans and rice, salad, chicken.

After the school they like to stay outside, play in the street or the nearest park or "plaza". They play "quedo" , futbol or ride their bicycles most of the time.

They like to eat everything, especially junk food. But traditionally in Costa Rica every day eat rice and beans whit something else (meat, spaguettis, salad, burgers, etc).
