What in the world is this animal in Bolivia?

My Uncle just got back and showed me some pics. I want to know what this animal is. He said it was totally sweet. Looks like a pig, rat, and a pachyderm all had a baby. Strange.

Thanks for your help.

This animal is a "Tapir" (a.k. "Anta").
The tapir is a mammalian herbivore and it has a curious aspect.
It has short legs, the hair can vary from black to red; it also has a black mane that extends from the opposite half of the back.

This animal also exists in the Brazil and it is called of Anta, when we want to offend a woman for her not to be intelligent we say that she is a Anta.
