Everyone is so wrong!! A person from Buenos Aires is called Bonaerense. That is in spanish though. In slang they may be called porteños also.

Margaux80
People from the capital are called porteños, and those in Gran Buenos Aires and provincial Buenos Aires are called bonarenses.

The ones from the capital federal are called PORTEÑOS. (that means near the port)
But if you are talking about the ones of all along the province...they are called BONAERENSES ( means, from Buenos Aires)

Buenos Aires is a city, and because of that there is no name for them. But as a whole they are Argentinian, or Argentino/a depending on your gender. But think about the name of your city. Unless its a popular city, i.e. New Yorkers, you most likely do not have a name.
