Ecotourism which is very popular in places like Costa Rica is where you learn about conserving the ecosystem while touring a place...leave as little as possible a footprint behind...Eco tours in Costa Rica (other places too I am sure but I am only familiar with it in CR) take people to places such as the rainforrest show them how important it is to preserve...and teach them of the ecosystem there...or to the endangered turtle nesting sites and do same...on some tours you even get to help ie: help rescue laid turtle eggs that are moved to a lab to be hatched and released. |
