Oh, they just have one of the best traditions of cooking outside China, Mexico, Italy and France. Fish like you wouldn't believe. Literally hundreds of varieties of potatoes, which originated in Peru. Traditional Andean music. The delicious liquor Pisco. A wealth of minerals including copper, gold and silver. And in case you were looking for a souvenier, there is alpaca, a softer and warmer alternative to wool, which comes in qualities and styles to fit any budget. Leather works. Silver and goldsmiths galore. Beautiful artwork, painted, sculpted and in the form of tapestry. They even have man-made floating islands on Lake Titicaca where people actually live as they have for centuries. The people are pretty special too. Any other questions. |

well, I have "lived" and was interested with Peruvians and theyre cultures...and you ask, if Peru has anything special???
havent you ever heard of the ancient Inca-Culture, the Moche, The Chavin? Nazca....the "signs" of Nazca?
Macchupicchu? The legendary and high-spiritual place of the last fugitives of Peru ?
Peru has the "Pisco", which is an alcoholic drink...they are famous for the "Papa Huancayna", which is a meal from the town of Huancayo (cold Potatoes with salad and a special sauce), Peru is very well known for the Music...the so-called
Huayno...with Zampona (panpipe), Charango (5-string guitar), the Quena (flute) and much much more..
Sorry, man..but, not to have any knowledge about one of the most influential cultures of the earth is a huge lack !
Try to find out more about that fascinating country, the cultures and the languages like Quechua ! |

The thing that comes into my mind first when I hear Peru are those animals.. Llamas, or I think they are those alpacas. But I really don't know if Peru is particularly famous for them. |
