Rarely do hurricanes strike Costa Rica.

Early September is the height of the hurricane season in the Caribbean, but Costa Rica is so far south that hurricanes are extremely rare there. Hurricanes are rare from around 10 degrees north to 10 degrees south latitude because the Coriolis effect isn't strong enough to give winds the counterclockwise motion that helps organize thunderstorm clusters into tropical depressions that can grow into hurricanes.

It is extreamly rare for a hurricane to hit Costa Rica.... nearly impossible. Although they do get the occasional tropical depression or tropical storm, which is just a rain event.

There is no place for a hurricane to form, and then hit Costa Rica because it is too far south.

None. You hardky never see Costa Rica getting iit by a hurricane. Don't know why that is. They do get rainstorms,Thuderstorms, and the aftermath of a hurricane.

?
about 1 in 100 years (true) and it doesn't hit directly CR, some hurricanes affect CR but not as hurricanes but as tropical storms, and they are unusual too.....
