What is the best Caribbean Island for a weekend Vacation?
If I were you I'd look into Barbados. I had a blast there. Unlike many other islands Barbados wasn't crowded and over run with tourist traps. The people were wonderful and the cost of food and lodging was more than reasonable. They have some unbelievable white sand beaches and plenty of ship wrecks in shallow water that can be explored with snorkel or SCUBA gear.

Puerto Rico's small neighbor, Culebra, is famous for its beaches. Think palm trees, hammocks and breathtaking sunsets. It's great if you're on a budget. Most visitors are campers, but there are lodgings available.
